Colors of Influence

Communities of color continue to expand at rapid rates. Nationwide, "minorities" now represent one-third of the entire U.S. population. As our communities grow in number, the need for increased visibility of our leadership is paramount.

Colors of Influence has evolved from its previous iteration, Oregon Minority Business, an online magazine that focused primarily on the information needs of minority entrepreneurs. Since starting OMB in 2006, I've had the wonderful opportunity to get up close and personal with key decision-makers, and learn about the value they bring not only to the economic vitality of Oregon and the region, but also to the communities in which they live and work.

The most hardworking people I have met are the leaders in our midst: People of influence who determined and steadfast to making a difference, to leaving this world better than they found it.
